Often customers want a rug, bag, etc.
in other colors or sizes and they want to commission their own.
I enjoy working with you to produce your desired result.
There are a few things that you need to know to arrange a commission.
In my studio I have a wide range of fabrics to select from in many colors.
There is no extra charge for fabrics that I already have.
Not all colors are in stock however.
You should be aware that if I have to buy fabric to match your needs,
the cost will be added to the price of the rug.
The rugs are priced according to their size.
If shipping is needed, that cost will also be added.
You must provide color samples.
There are too many blues for me to know which blue without a sample.
Samples can be fabric, paint samples, etc.
If you do not have the colors that you are thinking of on hand,
paint stores usually have color samples of paints
that you can have for free and they have almost every color.
I need to know the style of rug that you have in mind.
From my website or my records here you can choose the style that you like.
The rug number will tell me the style from my records.
What size does the rug need to be.
I have 3 size looms which are of different widths.
The finished rugs are approximately 42", 34", and 21" wide.
I can make intermediate sizes, like 38" wide,
but I cannot make wider than 42"
unless I weave two rugs and lace them together.
The length is the next measurement that I need.
I can weave up to 10 feet long.
All fabrics will be pre-washed in hot and cold to prevent shrinking and fading.
When the finished rug is washed the first time the warp will shrink about 10%.
When the rug is on the loom it is hard to measure it precisely.
My measure is often off a couple of inches plus or minus.
The price is determined by the finished length.
If the commission is for a bag,
the number of the bag you have and liked is what I need to know.
Also I will need to know the preferred colors.
About 4-6 weeks will be required to make the rug or bag.
A form is provided to fill in information about the commission.

When I have completed the weaving you may pick it up or have it shipped.
